Ok so where to start?
Right, so I bought the domain name and installed wordpress. Now what?
Well in my eyes I have a long path to take before I will be happy with this little blog. Right now at this time of writing you’re looking at a standard wordpress installation using a pre-installed theme - wpjeriko01.
In my “personal roadmap for the site” I can see myself doing the following:
Plugins
- SEO related plugin that will help ranking in all those search engines out there.
- Plugin that will take care of site maps.
- Enable caching.
- Affiliate link management.
- Adsense management.
- Social bookmark options.
- Some funky plugins I am yet to discover.
Theme
The current theme personally was the nicest in the pre-installed bunch. On top of my list is to find a suitable theme that will cater for my needs long term. By this I mean flexible, bright, easy to read and navigate. It will probably take a while until I either find one, or design/develop one myself.
